Define what one gift means

Before entering a guest total, decide whether a favor goes to each person, each chosen couple, each household or another explicitly defined group. These are purchasing choices, not rules imposed by this site. A favor placed at every seat creates a different distribution from a shared gift handed to a household. Keep the chosen allocation unit written beside the count.

Use a simple count example

If the chosen plan is one favor for each of80recipients,the base requirement is80complete favors. If the chosen plan is one per40specified groups, the base is40. Do not automatically divide a guest count by two and call the result couples or households. The actual grouping must be supplied by the planner. Singles, larger households and mixed arrangements make an assumed division unreliable.

Count favors,not components

The selected Heart Cork Coaster offer contains four coasters tied as one presented favor set. One set per guest means80sets for80chosen recipients,not20sets merely because each set contains four pieces. If the planner deliberately repackages individual coasters, that is a different plan with different packaging and presentation needs. The manufacturer gift format should not be silently changed by a calculator.

Keep extras as a separate choice

Extra favors can cover a planner's chosen contingency, but this site does not prescribe a universal percentage or predict breakage. Enter an explicit whole number of extras after choosing the base allocation. The tool shows that addition and any pack-rounding overage separately. This makes it clear whether additional pieces came from a deliberate buffer or simply from the selling pack size.

Exclude double counting

A guest can appear in a seating plan,a household list and a pickup list. Do not add all three as separate recipients. Choose one authoritative allocation count for the tool and maintain the detailed list privately if needed. Our calculator asks for totals only. It does not request names, upload a guest spreadsheet or send event information to a seller.

Connect the plan to distribution

If favors are placed at seats, the venue needs a clear instruction about which settings receive them. If favors are grouped for households, the distribution method needs to keep the grouping intact. This reference has not planned or attended a real client's wedding, and there is no invented guest feedback. The examples illustrate purchasing arithmetic rather than claims about what guests prefer.

Before ordering

Confirm the actual recipient or group count, complete favor format, extras and selling pack. Then inspect minimum quantities and personalization conditions for the selected product. A correct base count can still produce the wrong order if it is divided by component pieces or ignores a minimum. Keep the allocation choice visible when reviewing the final basket.

Keep attendance and allocation versions separate

A revised attendance total does not necessarily change a household-based favor count in the same way. Record which aggregate count was updated and why before recalculating. The tool clears the recipient number when the allocation basis changes so an individual total is not silently relabeled as a group total. That reset is a prompt to recount, not a relationship inference. The selected product remains a purchasing record, and the planner remains responsible for defining who or which groups receive a complete favor.
